Rachel J. Aloni

Rachel J. Aloni is a Partner at the firm and an experienced family and matrimonial law attorney with three decades of experience. Admitted to the New York State Bar in January 1996, Ms. Aloni concentrates her practice in family law and divorce, representing clients in a broad range of complex and often highly sensitive matrimonial and family-law matters.

Ms. Aloni brings a unique breadth of experience to her practice, having served in a variety of legal and judicial roles throughout her career. Prior to entering private practice, she worked in the Family Law Division of Suffolk County Legal Aid and with the New York City Corporation Counsel. She also served as a Law Secretary to a New York City Family Court Judge and as a Support Magistrate in both New York City and Suffolk County. These experiences have provided her with an invaluable understanding of family-law matters from multiple perspectives, including that of the court, the litigant, and the advocate.

As a family-law attorney, Ms. Aloni is committed to providing knowledgeable, strategic, and compassionate representation to clients navigating divorce and other family-law disputes. Her extensive courtroom and judicial experience allows her to approach each matter with a practical understanding of the legal process and the issues that are most important to the court.

In addition to her litigation practice, Ms. Aloni is a Certified Mediator, and she assists clients in resolving family-law disputes through mediation when an alternative to litigation is appropriate. Her experience as both an advocate and former Support Magistrate gives her a valuable perspective when helping parties identify practical and effective resolutions while protecting their rights and interests.

Ms. Aloni earned her Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School in 1995 and her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Spanish from Washington University in St. Louis in 1992. She was admitted to the New York State Bar in January 1996.
